Re-Build Ford Focus = Fast Thread

Hi guys I decided to rebuild this model that I made has 2 years ago.

I decided to open the front and to smooth all would body.

Here already it is with the silver coat.

On this photo already I applied with lilas original of the Nissan March code LX1.

For the purple color I made a mixture between the Mica Red and the Metalic Blue, both of the RX8.

I am in awe...that's an extremely nice paint job!

Don't really like the rims, but the new focus looks better than the old one.

You obviously don't value your eardrums that much, judging by the interior :biggrin:
I didn't know anyone made the audi rims in 1/24, or did you make them yourself.
It does suit the car though, if you're going for the german style tuner look: clean and pure.

I can't believe it - I'm building an extremely similar kit right now (except paint!)

Hi guys! Thanks to all! This is the update of week 2 waits that they appreciate and goes the pics.

After painting the columns of the doors of brilliant black and placing the decals, the car is ready for the first clear coat.

The chassis already is practically ready and tried to make a work to seem that dirty and it is scraped in the parts of the wooden floor that could possibly touch the soil. Special gratefulness to the Thiago Pestana for the tips of wash in flat black.

In the exhaust pipe I made a painting with Alclad II Chrome and the parts that must seem burnt, I made a painting with gold form Gunze´s Mr. Metal Color.

The interior is 98% soon, the seat belts is in PE of the Mr. Model placed in ribbon painted of black color. The tachometer and the speedometer are Spo-with set from Aoshima, the booster clocks in the part of low of the panel are scratch-build made and the decals of all the meters are of the one Spo-with set of the Aoshima and had been painted with Aluminium Mr. Metal Color.

The steering column was shortened, the steering wheel is Momo type from Aoshima. The shifter came from Lancer Evo 6. The color of the interior is Tamiya Sky Gray .

In the interior I applied Modeler´s carbon fiber decal, all the wiring cables also are of the Modeler's. The speakers and amplifiers are from Small Dreans, painted with Mr. Metal Color and wash with matt black color.

Ok guys new updates!!!

The interior is ready I added a NOS bottle from Aoshima Spo-with set and the connectors and hose from Modeler's. The DVD screen is scratch-building and the display I found in a car magazine of cars after applied passed nail gloss to give a brightness.

For body I used sandpapers # 2000, # 6000, #8000 and # 10000. Later I washed with detergent and I left for burnishing with the Dremmel, first with Tamiya compound, later with automotive wax. Later I washed again with detergent, I did masking areas and I painted glass rubbers and the interior with Tamiya semi-gloss black.

Polished with Dremmel and Tamiya Modeling Wax. For panel lines . Special thanks to my partner Cris Jr for the teaching techniques and insistence to make it. It´s cool. Cris thanks brow.

Lovely paint finish.
I think the DVD screen looks a little big, could do with black border around the outside to look more real!

I love reading this thread as I am at early stages of similar style kit but I have gone down a slightly different road!

Nice!!.. good job on that!!.. paint looks like a mirror !!!.. i agree about the DVD.. but.. it´s just a little detail.. u can fix this easily!

Cool! I like how this has been rebuilt. The paint scheme is wild, just the kind of two-tone we need more of. Interior is clean, too.
