I Just Got my first honda, it's a 1989 accord with a A20a1 carb and manual trans. The block is warped on the engine and keeps blowing head gaskets, soooo i thought i might swap in a later model engine and ECU. say a F22a1, but im not sure what the complications might be, will the F22 bolt up to my trans, is there anything specific to watch out for?

Thanks!

Your going to have to wire the car for PGM-FI with a fuel injected engine, I'm not sure about older accords, but I think a F22a1 would be possible. But if it is, why not step up to a H22a, or something else? Also, your trans will not bolt up to a F22a1, nor will it bolt up to any other newer engines.
