ABS/Brake/Traction Lights On

I just checked the brakes on my father-in-law's 2002 Custom. I took off the right caliper to examine the pad thickness, which had ample pad left. For the left one I only did a visual with the tire off. I did take the caliper pins off to lube. Then we went for a test drive. The ABS and Brake light came on and stays on. Also the Traction Off lights up and stays lit. We've tested the brakes on they are working no different than before the inspection, fine! I even disconnected the negative battery terminal to see if that would make a difference but no luck. Another funny thing is that the gas gauge also started to do funny things. It went from the correct reading to completely empty. I tried pushing the reset button on the dash but it had no affect. Any suggestions/opinions are welcome.

Sounds like you disconected a wheel sensor also. RE check the harness!

I checked both harnesses located behind the calipers and nothing looks disconnected. I didn't do any electrical testing on them because I'm not sure how to test them.
