When I drive up to about 75 mph, the car starts to studder and there is no going past that. I've never heard of governors that keep cars under 75. My car has 160,000 miles on it and it's a 3.3L 94'. Also, when I'm stopped, the car shakes enough for me to notice and when I accerlerate I can feel it change gears a little harder. How can I stop the shakes and have a smoother, quiter ride?

Get a new PCV valve and a tune up. New gaskets, spark plugs, and maybe spark plug wires. My concorde with a 3.5 was doing the same exact thing at 95K and I gave it a tune up. Worked better than when I bought it. It's WAYYYY cheaper to do it yourself!!! Cost me like $30 for parts and a couple hours of my time.... compared to like $200-$350 at a dealer or shop. The 3.3 is EASY as heck to do a tune up on!!! Just get the book. Pcv is right on top near the rear of the engine. It will be a black plastic looking piece.
Better do it soon!!! If you don't you are going to have to keep on the gas at the stop lights!
