:banghead: I have a 1987 ford ranger, my wife was driving it when it started running rough and then it died, i tried to start it but it wouldn't start, all it would do was turn over. I replaced the distributor cap, rotor button, fuel pump relay, module, coil and fuel filter. Even took the fuel pump off and it seemed ok. So i put some gas in the intake hose and it started but died out very shortly afterwards, I put my hand over the intake hose and it started but died out as soon as i took my hand off, i have no idea on what to do next:banghead:

When you turn the ignition on, do you hear the fuel pump come on? If so, I'd check the fuel pressure, also pull the vacuum line off the f/p regulator and see if there's any gas in it, if so, it's toast. Then I'd make sure the injectors are getting a pulse from the ecm.
p.s. If I remember correctly there is a fuel cut-off switch under the dash on the passanger side, maybe it got tripped?
