86' reliant

Hi, im new here and i wasnt quite sure where to post this, but anyways I have an 86 plymouth reliant k-car and lately it has started loping i have discovered that if i put the gas all the way to the floor then let off when it sounds as if i should shift(if i was driving a stick) it runs normal after that until next time i drive it. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Well if anyone has happened to of had this problem...try changing the spark plugs and the pcv valve, and an oil change.....i did all of those at once and now my engine no longer lopes.
