i'm sure it is. i usually polish out my clearcoat the next day, or the day after. 10 days sounds like more than enough.

It probably won't hurt it, but if you can feel that the clear isn't hard under your sanding pad/polishing cloth, you might as well wait.

Acrylic or TS? I've polished TS in two hours...I've waited two weeks with Acrylic and it still wasnt hard enough.

Cheers guys. Mike, it was TS - looks like I'm getting the polishing cloth out! :)

I polished out TS in 4 days.. Dried very fast.. And hard.. Automotive paints and clears was even faster.. and even harder..
I think this should be fine.. I've waited 14 days for normal TS paints though and perhaps this is alittle too long..

you're using halfords paints aren't you?
do you find that they also seem to lay down a thinner layer of paint compared to the tamiya sprays?

Halfords paint from the can is OK. I find TS cans to give a smooth as glass finish, whereas with Halfords can look a little orange peel at times. The clear is OK, but I think I prefer TS clear for getting that smooth finish.
And yes, the base Halfords paint I used was thin.. Runs easy as well..

I've read a couple of things (i think it was zoomzoomMX-5 who said it)
1. If you can 'smell' paint when you open up the closed container it's in, it's too early
2. If you polish out a paint too early, the shine will dull out in a matter of weeks.
