No Heat in a 2000 Chevy Blazer

I just noticed this morning when I tried to turn on the heat in the truck, nothing but cold air came out. Turning the temperature all the way to the "cold" setting obviously pumps out a bigger rush of cold air. Turn the knob to "hot" and you hear the "whoosh" of cold air die down, but, no hot air comes out--just cold. Any ideas and what this is going to cost me?

Was the truck warmed up yet? Check your coolant level in the radiator. Low coolant will not give much heat. Check for leaks.

Didn't check the coolant, but the drive to work is 1/2 hour. Usually (in past cold weather) the truck would generate heat within about 5-10 minutes. As I was pulling up to work, there was still zero heat coming from the heat setting. I turned it off, turned it back on, went from cold to hot and back again--nothing. I will check the coolant later today.

When that happened to me, it was a clogged heater core. It does not seem to be an uncommon thing and it's easy to remedy.

Mine clogged up because my radiator cap went bad, letting air into the system and letting the coolant turn muddy. It would probably be a good idea to check the radiator cap (just go ahead and get a new good one, they are cheap) and check the coolant to make sure it hasn't turned nasty.

Yea , best to replace the rad cap with something that is not AC Delco.

Ac Delco's are defective due to there bad fibrous rubber seal.
