Aftermarket going to shit?

Examples:
1) Honda I-VTEC system = no more need for cam gears because the timing adjusts automatically = no need for cam gears

2) Most cars have SRS/Airbags = Momo and other steering wheel manufacturers making way less $$$

3) Mazda MP3 (Tokicos, MP3 player, etc) SVT Contour (ExtrudeHoned) = fast out of the box = you don't need to spend as much money on aftermarket goodies because some of it has already been done on those cars.

4) CARB and stricter emissions testing, LEV, electric vehicles = more pressure on the aftermarket go fast products.

What do you guys think?

No I think the After Marhet guys just need to adjust to the changes, come up with more clever ways of making more HP and making a car more individual.
There will always be a demand for aftermarket stuff.
(and wheel companys like Momo have been making Airbag sports wheels for some time, and thier biggest market is now the car makers, not after market supplies).

In 20yrs I like to think Ill be able to buy a larger Capciter in order to sup up my electric powered car. :D

Yep I have to agree the aftermarket is going to SHITZ b/c all these damn laws around here prevent us from doing anything to our cars with all these Carb laws and other bs laws just Making it harder for aftermarket companys make products that have more power or etc ..... It is Shitty but it's life
