Hi
I have got a Mitsubishi Lancer 2002 and I want to rest the distance meter, its a digital meter that shows how much the car traveled. I think there must be a chip (IC) that I can remove to reset it. One of the shops here is making it for every car but they charge a lot of money.
Can some one help me?
Thanks.

Are you trying to reset the odometer? Or just the trip meter.
To reset the trip meter, just hold down the button for about 3 second and it'll reset to zero. And to the best of my knowledge, it's against the law to reset / temper with your odometer.
