Adding a Turbo

I want to add a turbo to my 87 v6 but it seems that all the kits out there cost more than my car. I was wondering if there were any differences between one of these kits; For Example (Design One Kit (http://www.design1systems.com/turbo/index-fiero.html) ) and just an ordinary turbo besides obvious mounting changes.
Through my surfing i think that i want about 6-8 pounds of boost and i may want to buy a new ECM. Any feedback would be appreciated.

IRM Fiero
and also look into
Squires Turbo Systems
GMC/Chevy also built a twin turbo system for their 2.8L S10s in like '86/87, might look into GM Perfomance Parts.
hope this helps,

i just pulled a garret off a mercedes desal i had out back. waste gate and all, did it after dark so i really dont know if it works. i will look at it in the morning to see if it is useable.
that would be my suggestion to you see if you can find one thats in good shape it will be much cheaper the turbine alone i think goes for $1k. the rest of the parts can be bought fairly cheaply.
