ok so i went to install my test pipe header and catback and the test pipe was about 4 inches too long and it was supposedly supposed to be a direct bolt on and the guy i bought it from said no one had any problems......i looked up the length for a stock cat and it says 12.5 inches and the test pipe is 16 so any help would be appreciated thanks

No problem??? Your post helps me finally understand why mufflers stick out beyond the rear bumper on too many Altimas. I have a problem with how they look. They are guaranteed to cause a serious burn to any one that touches it when it is hot. If high-flow cats measure 12 1/2", use one of them. Or you could have a muffler shop chop the test pipe and expand the rear section to slide over the front. Then you will have to cut 1" off of the front part that slides inside and use a clamp on it. Stainless clamps cost more. Take that into consideration before you cut. I don't think HD steel clamps work very well.
