hello i got a 95 geo metro 4cyl manual trans

well i bought this car about 3months ago and decided it was time to change the tranny fluid because it has a leak

well much to my surprise/fear the fill plug is rounded out ....should be a 3/8 ratchet but rounded wont grip....the plug is flush with the tranny so i dont see vise grips or a pipe wrench doing much good....so i got an easy out from a friend and well not enuff room to tap it in darn compact cars ;)....well i really need some advice on how to get this stubborn thing out its rounded out and very tight

It sounds like a tough project but I think I would start out with my Dremel tool and grind new flats on the inside. I would fit it to some high carbon steel square keystock. Then I would heat carefully around the outside of the plug and then try to remove it.

Good luck!

Just take it to a shop and have them weld you a head on it.
