Hi all,
My 2000 Ford Ranger 4x4 4.0 has just started to have problems starting mainly after sitting over night or when leaving from work. It cranks fine but you have to press to gas pedal or pump the petal to finally get it to start.
The only mod I have on my truck is a remote starter but had that installed a year ago.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for helping a newbie.

By the way,
Once it is started there are no noticable problems. The truck runs fine.

I am novice when it comes to auto repair but I will do a search on that.

First thing I would do is replace the fuel pressure regulator, i should'nt be to hard a fix, and a new one is cheep. Not sure of all the symptoms, but maybe check the battery as well.
