Grumble

Allow me to vent for a second......... AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Ok. Thats better. I knew wedding can be expensive, but Jesus Christ almight! What a rip off. Photographers, videographers, caterers, churches and florists have got themselves quite a scam running. I know people have spent more then me, but with a price tag that looks to hover around 20K, I need to talk my fiance into skipping out to Fiji and get married there.

Thats why you find a rich family to marry into !!!

AMEN, brother! I just got married, and you ain't kidding! We didn't bother with a photographer ($1500!!!). Instead, my dad brought 3 cameras and 9 rolls of film. Out of the 150 or so pictures, we got enough good ones to make our album. Except the ones my mother-in-law took. Her big nasty pink fingernail is in EVERY picture! She makes me this mad: :zx11pisse

Dude, seriously, elope. You will save lots of money, and stress. Sure, some people will be upset that they were not there, but they will get over it. I also had a friend, wow, a friend, :) anyways. What they did for pictures, was buy like 40 little disposable cameras. They put 2-3 cameras per table, and told the guests to use them up. They actually got some pretty nice pictures out of it. But I say go with the elope option, thats what I did. :D

Gulp!:( Well, I hope my girl's family has dough cuz, I sure as hell don't. Some of my cousins that got married spent around 30-40 grand on their weddings. I was like no way in hell I'm spending that amount of cash on one event. Even though it is special, still. I am definitely looking into something small and not so ritsy! Plus, my family is huge, the bill on them alone would be the price of a new friggin' Escalade.

Yeah, her dad has some bucks, but he hasn't said how much he wants to contribute. I'd elope if I could talk her into it, but shes the first one in the family (her side) to get married and she's the only girl. So, I dont think there's anyway around it. Bye bye $$$$$$

Well its your big day and hopefully you only do it once so i say..."go for it" and make it a day to remember :) :)

I don't think you should think about the money. Come on!!! You are getting married. Screw everything, make everyone happy, make your wife happy, this should get you happy as well... If there's nothing you can do about something, stop worrying about it. "If rape is inevitable, relax and enjoy the sex" (applied *only* in metaphorical meaning). OK, it's 4AM, and I'm still on the AF. Me sleep now. CU

Oh, I'll spend the money, but that doesn't mean I can be concious of the prices some of these people are charging. Once the day gets here, I hope it all becomes worth it. I know getting married is right. Its the whole penguin suit shpeel thats surprising me.
