I was making a turbocharger for my civic. and i was going to install the intercooler when i found out that i didn't have space for my stock radiator. so i ripped it out and now im wonering. If i have a intercooler, do i still need the radiator? thanks.

Yep the radiator is responsible for cooling ure engine block. A IC cools down the air thats gonna go inside ure throttle to the engine. 2 different things. but in a model whats the difference? No1 will tell u that u dont have a radiator. The decision belongs 2 u

Well, it's a Honda, so it has electric fans to help cool the radiator, so you can put it behind the motor, or just make a smaller one to fit behind the intercooler.

all cars have fans to cool the radiator

Yes but a Honda is a horizontally opposed motor, so the crankshaft can't power the fan. So it's electric.

350Z, Silvia, and the NSX for sure have twin turbo systems, but I'd recommend not twin turboing a 4 cylinder, specially a horizontally opposed one, you'll find yourself running out of room REAL quick.

yeah. that's true. im already having trouble putting in my 1 turbo and intercooler. and the screws that held in the engine had to be taken off (1 out of 2 screws) so that i could custom bend a pipe from the headers to the turbo.

Yes but a Honda is a horizontally opposed motor, so the crankshaft can't power the fan. So it's electric.subarus are horizontally opposed, not honda..

you mean the motors are mounted ~ sideways, as are all FWD 4 cylinders.

90% of cars nowadays have electric fans.

Subarus arent mounted horizontal or vertical, they're boxer motors.
Mustangs and other V6-V8 cars have crank drivin fans.
FWD 4 cyl motors are horozontally opposed so the crank can't power the fan, so it's electric.
90% of cars nowadays are FWD.
