Progress: Honda CRX Si GlassTop

I had a WIP thread here before, But I really didnt have much time to update. Now I do. Fujimi kit. Paint is duplicolor Universal Black. Wheels are Honda ITR painted Silver with red centers.(Kinda looks like GT3's) I also Have a FMIC in progress. Still needs to go though the polishing stage. Im also waiting on my new air brush so I can finish the interior.

The crx was Red, but I had a change of heart.

Did you use Alclad for the FMIC? If you did, then I gotta get me some.

The red rims on the black body are a cool combination, altough I liked the red body with gold rims even more.

Thanks guys. Im in the process of changing the color again. I know, This will be the 3rd time,But I managed to Mix a Pretty nice color. Its a mix of SilverMist Silver, and Metallic Blue. Sort of looks like an electric blue. (or Mica)

Heres The Test Monkey, Had this R33 for years for testing colors.

Another color swap? Man, and I really liked the black/red combo. Oh well, it's still gonna be awesome in that shade of blue! Is the paint the same brand as before, or something else? No matter what color it ends up being, it will always be colored "badass"!

It will look cool as in that colour. But in my oppinion, you will need to change he colour of the wheels. Or just use the gold ones from when the car was red. That is just my $0.02. It will look awesome whatever you do. Look forward to seeing it once the blue is layed down.

Josh thats amazing! My neighbors crx is exactly the same color! When he first got it it was yellow (yuck), then he had it painted like a navy blue which looked hawt, but during the winter he smashed up the front, and now it is that color. He drives around my neighborhood alot even at like 2 in the morning he's racing around!I also think he has some 16 inch Volks on there like these http://www.performancetyres.com/Volk_CE28_Racing_Wheels-Other_Colours.jpg.

Looks good. Nice color. Is it Dupli Color mixed? I had mixed Dupli Color before, but be careful, the next day the paint might be dried inside the bottle:( I had to learn this the hard way:(

I am so glad you went for blue instead of black! black looks SWEET, and MEAN, but if you are to enter that in a contest...black makes your car dissappear on the table. that should stand out nicely. are you considering any graphics, or just the door scripts like on the red and black variants?

What rims are you going to use? I say use the goldies from when she was red.

Red again. Ran into some problems. I should have used a Sealant before I sprayed. Anyways here it is red again. :) . You can kinda see my also sexy CF tach.

That CRX is hot! I'm getting confused with all the color changes! I liked black, and was getting used to blue, now back to red! Good thing I like red too.

Yea man, This is the final color. Surry if I confused some of you. I personaly like the red better than the black. :sunglasse

Now I can start adding decals (Carbonfiber hood), then clear. Going for this look.

I still need to paint the panel lines semi gloss black, and paint the bottom part of the CRX semi-gloss black also. In these pics I added a black hood to simulate CF. Im too cheap to buy the real stuff :roll:
Anyways, next update, this should be polished up, and the window should be finished.

MAN I am in love!!! Great progress on the 29 paint schemes j/k. I love it in just about every mode you had it in, the red CF looked HOT and I had never seen that before. The black wheels w/ red lip....AWESOME.. can't wait to see the finished look since I need more inspiration to get mine done (building replica of my 1:1 rex recently purchashed)
