1991 S10 2.5L TBI Manual Transmission. Idles fine, drives for about 10 minutes and dies, restarts after about a 3 minute wait and dies again after 10 minute drive, basically it gets warm and dies , cools down & restarts, gets warm and dies. Code 13 is only code that comes up .Can a Code 13 shut down fuel pump? I can smell gas after it dies. O2 sensor was changed about a year ago

Blazer You never wrote back on my s-10 I was hoping to get your opinion. I have completed many tasks since you last wrote. I replaced the ECM and that has brought fire back to the truck. I now have fire and fuel when it broke down this time. The truck would not start after driving about three miles in 95 degree heat. I have replaced the fuel pump, ECM, FF, checked the timing but that did not go well as I could not keep it running when I lined up the timing marks. I read in the Haynes manual that there is something where you disconnect so the timing could be set but I could not verify that it applied to my motor and model as I could not find the brown wire with tan stripe to disconnect. It ran for those three miles like I have never heard it before and in mid driving on a slight decline it just died. any ideas what this could be? I am running out of money, patience and time as my son needs this to drive to school. HELP I did verify that both fuel and sprak were present and the starter motor would turn the motor but would not 'catch'

This was a note I sent to Blazer. I have a 4.3L V6 1991 2wd Pickup. I replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor button, I measured both ignition and pickup coils, inspected the vaccum lines, verified voltage through the coils replaced the ECM as I had lost fire as well. My next guess is temperature driven components. Once I can save some money I intend to try the coolant temp sensor and the manifold air pressure sensor.

rstyrlz need to check your tps. in the manual it says to check for a sticking or misadjusted throttle position sensor, check the wiring and connection from oxygen sensor.

it was fuel pump wiring! wires at the top of fuel tank were corroded and broken causing a short to the pump . instead of replacing pump assembly and wiring I think I'll just rebuild truck & install a bigger tank .Will a 289cu in. fit ?
