So youre saying that being creative and making something that does the EXACT SAME THING as something you can buy is the wrong way to do it?

Just because someone makes something that is custom fit for your vehicle does not make it bad to be creative and active to do it on your own...especially when both finished products will do the same thing.

Let me ask you this then, what rpm does the intake you made resonate at? How did you achieve this? What size pipe did you run on the first half of the intake and what size after that to help increase the speed of the incoming air? How much CFM does that filter you used flow? Did you make sure to connect the pipes flush in the elbows to eliminate tinny gaps that might slow down the incoming air? I could go on and on, but I think I made my point intakes like AEM are tested by pros who do this stuff everyday to make intakes, you on the other hand just said hey ill get some pipe and make an intake.
