'92 Grand Am Will Not Crank Over

Neighbor's car. New battery. Lights and buzzers and all accesories are loud and clear. Lots of juice. Turn ignition key and not a sound from starter. Not even a click. Lights go dim and buzzers shut off when the key is turn to "start" as would be expected.

Can't find 2nd fuse block to check. There has got to be more fuses than what is located inside driver's side door jamb. I suspect the starter, but is there a way to narrow it down before replacing the starter. Is there a test that I could perform?

Oh yeah, its a 3300 V6 engine.

could be the solenoid on the starter...but if thats it you still gotta get the whole thing lol but one way to see if that is it is hook a aligator clip with a piece of wire to the 2 nuts that have wires running to em and cross the wires...if it cranks its the solenoid go buy a new starter

Another trick you can try is grab a buddy and have him or her tap (lightly) on the starter body with a hammer while you try to start the engine. If the starter has a dead spot in the windings, the impact may turn it past the dead spot.

With the lights going dim, that could be a starter drawing too much amperage or it could be a weak battery. Just for sh**s and giggles, put a jump on the battery.
