2001 Lesabre Steering Wheel Volume Control

The volume control on the steering wheel was intermittent and has now failed completely. Does it just pry out or what. Before I get into it, I am looking for experience advice. If I knew how to get it out I can test it and see if that's the problem before I go to a dealer or electrical shop, as I do have enough electrical and electronics knowledge.
