shifter Question

I feel resistance when shifting into 2nd gear and hear a "grinding" sound (but not grinding gears), kinda like the shifter is getting caught on something. I feel a vibration through the shifter and caused me to miss 2nd gear a couple of times. The same thing happens when shifting into 3rd gear at higher RPM's. It shifts good when sitting still, but driving is a whole different story. Any help is much appreciated.

Have you tried to adjust it any? Sounds like thats what you need to do.

I adjusted the cables at the shifter base but that doesn't seem to help. I've noticed the whole shifter moving around a little where it is bolted to the car. Could it be that the bushings are shot and in need of replacement. How about where the cables attach to the transmission, could that be the problem?
