Jetta Help..

My jetta loses power at different times, usually after trying to accelerate from a top the accelerator pedal will be pushed all the way down and affter a couple of seconds, the car will accelerate. Curiosly, I experience this same power loss, stuttering if I have the A/C unit turned on. Any suggestions??
