My 1997 Sonoma has 2 plastic tubes coming out of the bottom of the engine - left & right. There is a minor oil leak coming from the tubes. The bottom of the engine was steam cleaned. I does not appear to be burning any oil and using excessive oil.
I reciently purchased this vehicle at 52,000 miles and well taken care of. I have only put on about 1,500 miles, is it possible someone overfilled the oil and this could cause the leak? Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
John

There is a remote oil filter on most trucks, that is probably the lines you're talking about. On the original lines there was only 2 crimps. Those usually leak and sometimes even blow right off. Mine blew off and all the oil in the engine was all over the street within 5 seconds. The new oil lines have 3 crimps and mine haven't started leaking yet. You can replace them to be same, or you could just wait until they begin to leak worse or blow off.
