Dome light operation

I just recently purchased my '93 Rodeo for my daughter and am generally happy with it. I have a question though. The courtesy lights only come on with the key in the "on" position, as opposed to when a door is normally opened. Is this a normal Isuzu trait? Every other vehicle I have owned the dome light came on as soon as you opened the door. A silly question, I know, but it kinda bugs me. :icon16:

I'm sure if this will solve your problem, but on the dome light itself there is a three position switch: off/on/on when door opens.

Yea, I did find the 3 position switch on the dome light and the switch on the cargo light too. I set it to the door position, yet it still only works with the key in the on position, not static like every other car I have seen. Nothing wrong with the door switches, they do what they should. I dunno. :p Just silly. Thanks for the help.
