rough acceleration

i am working on a 1992 gmc with a vortec 4.3l v-6. it idles fine and has good fuel pressure (around 53psi at an idle). when i first turn the key the fuel pressure jumps to 65psi and starts fine but the problem is when i accelerate , it starts to spit and sputter around 2000rpms. it sounds like it is starving for fuel but the pressure is right there. i also put it on a computer (snap-on) and it says no codes, ok to drive. any help please. thx.
