help me get the bushing out

Ok im puttin on a shackle lift in the rear. NOw ive got all the bolts out put the bottom drivers side. Its bonded itsself to the bushing. Now how do i get the bushing and the bolt out all in one. thanx all Ken

Heat, and lots of it. Most mechanics use oxy acetlene torches and just burn them out.

Before I had that option I tried Paint remover on a bushing, hoping that it would eat whatever was holding it on away, and it actually worked.
Now that I should know better I would think that penetrating oil would do the same thing, only better.

I agree, try a torch first. If that doesn't work, try a sawzall. Cut the bolt on bth sides, don't cut anything you need!! Just cut the bolt. Then get a new bolt and a new bushing.

Also when you reassemble everything put grease on the bolts where the metal bushing sleves sit. It will stop it from happening again.
