Has anyone ever had this issue? My A/C will not work at all if it's on MAX, and the fan is on HIGH. BUT! It will work if the fan selector is on any other setting. Just not on HIGH. WTF??? It's summer in S. Texas and I need the A/C to be on HIGH! Any one have an idea???

I would say it sounds like it needs a recharge.
And BTW...It is August, and the high here was 68 Saturday. Quite nice. Other than the rain anyways.

Do you mean that the a/c isn't cold on high fan or that when you select high on the fan selector it cuts out and doesnt blow at all? Because if it just doesnt blow on high, you may only need to address the fan selector switch/control.

It actually does need a recharge, but the fan doesn't blow at all when in the high position. Blows fine between low and medium settings, but at HIGH, no air comes out at all.
PS: I love Texas, but I'd really love a 68 degree August.

It was 95+ today. Saturday was a fluke.
So does the fan blow on high without the air on?

Sounds like either a broken wire or more likely the fan switch is toast.

Nope. It sure doesn't. I'll have to check out the switch itself.
You guys know that feeling you get when your money for upgrades keep going to repairs??? ARRHRHRHHHHHH!!! :banghead:

I feel ya on the heat thing. Central Texas gets just as hot as you guys down south only by a couple degress less.
I though, just suck it up and not turn my A/C on at ALL. Unless I really feel it necessary or its the morning because its usually humid as hell and I for some odd reason hate it when its humid in the morning, guess im weird like that. :screwy:

what are you guys thinking??? this is an extremely common problem. check the resistor mounted in the blower box under the hood on the passenger side. you'll find your problem

My A/C does not work very well either, and it has been August here since May. 90 - 95 and muggy every day, but no rain. It feels like a humid Phoenix AZ around here :)
