Hello. I purchased a 1998 Chevy S-10 4 cyl. last year from a private individual. The guy had taken off the Catalytic Converter and in doing so also removed the Oxygen Sensor. I have put on a Catalytic Converter but I am not sure where the Oxygen Sensor needs to go. I need to do this for my NYS inspection. I found the plug in, I think but I have no idea where the sensor itself is supposed to be put after I plug it in. Any help you are able to give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. George

the cat should have a pipe 12"-18" attached to the ass-end of it. the actual converter and this pipe should be one piece. the 02 sensor goes in a hole in the begining- middle of the pipe section. the sensor will point toward the driveshaft once installed.

pick a spot, just behind the cat, thats where it goes, rdfirbird said its suppose to face the drive shaft, but thats incorrect, ive been under quite a few of theses trucks, and also under my personal one plunty of times, they point in any given direction as long as the sencor plug reaches you are fine
