My turn signals arent working but my hazards are. I cant find the flasher thats supposed to be clipped to the steering column, and i really dont want to pull apart my steering column because who knows what can happen. I think its the flasher but im not absolutely sure. Is there another way to reach the flasher without pulling the steering column apart?

Check to see if your brake lights are working also, the center mounted one should be working anyway. Then try to wiggle the signal lever. If this make them come back on intermittenly, then your turn signal switch is probably going bad. A very common problem with the 95-01 Lumina's.

Brake light probs are often traced to the turn signal switch. The switch is probably worn out. Some guys say you can take the switch out and bend the contacts a little to make them touch again. I found that mine had a couple of plastic hold down tabs that were worn half-way through. This allowed the rotating switch portion to lose contact with connections under it.

I went to NAPA and bought a Haynes manual ( you need one anyway if you are going to work on your car yourself) and a special tool ($8) to take the steering wheel off. The switch was $74, so I fixed my old one instead.

You can do it!

The brake lights work, all of them. Its not a 95-01 its a 92, picked up for 700 bucks :D The switch isnt giving anything, i think the flasher isnt even there at all, that maybe the problem? Oh and trust me, of course i got my haynes repair manual. Thing helped alot to go from a car that had to be towed, to one that runs like a champ.

I have a 92 lumina. The flasher unit was on top of the steering column at the bottom end of the column, cab side, by the fire wall!

A couple things...

Hazards and turn signals are not related electrically. Wekk, not quite. Point is, I tried to put an led turn signal in my 99 and ended up blowing every fuse has had to do with light.

Turn signals and hazards run off of two compltey different circuits. Replace the fuses for the turn signal markers, etccc.
