02 for 6k?

I'm looking at buying a 2002 WRX. I found one for 6000! About 25,000 Miles.

This does not seem right, is it a scam?

This is the Email he sent me

"I am glad to hear that you are interested to buy my car.The car is in perfect conditions without any scratches or other mechanical problems.All the manuals and the original documents are in English.It is made for US market and has US specs on it (speedometer in miles).
The car is registered in United States and it has clear title.
Since november 2004 i started a new bussines in London,UK but unfortunately the things didn't work the way i expected and now i really need cash because i am at one step to lose my restaurant from here ,so i decided to sell the car.Because i wanna deal as soon as possible i am ready to cover the shipping costs and insurance.I can't register the car in UK because it has US emissions and that's one of the reasons i sell it so cheap,because i can't find a buyer in my country.
You will not have to pay additional taxes,just only the price for it.You will receive your product in 4-5 working days by FedEx or Lufthansa Air Cargo at your home address.If somethig happens on the road , you will receive the insurance from the delivery service. As soon as the car arrives, you will test and if it does not matches 100% to your expectations, you will return it in max.15 days since the arrival date.
The finacial part of this deal will be managed by my Square Trade agent. I am very busy, and they will act like a third party in this deal. They will keep the payment until you receive the item and test it.
Anyway, I have to let you know that I want a fast deal so if you are really interested in buying, please reply with the following information:

Yahoo Autos advertised 1995 Ferrari F355 for sale by Andrew Nelson for $14,500. Contacted seller on 7/15/2005 for information regarding location of vehicle. On 7/15/2005 received the following email from [email protected]:

I am trying to make a new life here because my wife wants to be closer to her family. The car is presenting in a very good condition, accident free, no scratches, no need for additional repairs. The buy it now price is US$ 14,500 and if you agree with it we can start to complete the transaction. You will not have to pay for customs or any additional taxes because the car is an U.S. product registered in U.S. I realize that is a cheap price for such a product but my special situation makes me do things that I wouldn't do in normal circumstances and believe me it is not easy at all for me to sell a thing which was one of my dreams during last years. I've wanted to register the car here and keep it for me. Unfortunately import taxes and European regulations made me change my mind since I have to pay a lot of money. On 7/18/2005 received the following email from [email protected]:

I made a couple of phone calls and I decided that the best and the fastest way I can ship it is using Lufthansa Air Cargo and it will take between 5 and 10 days to arrive at your door. You have nothing to worry about the shipping fees because I will take care of everything. Once with the car you will receive the title signed by me, the keys, owner manual, the original documentation and all that you need to register the car. The financial part of this transaction will be managed by SquareTrade Center in collaboration with Yahoo Autos. They are acting like a third party in this deal. You will have the Buyer Protection Program that means that nobody besides Square Trade Center will have access to your funds until you will get your car. I have a Purchase Protection Account for US$ 20,000 and if you will not receive the car as I described to you, SquareTrade will refund you the whole amount which you paid me (100 %). But I assure you that is not the case, because I can guarantee for my car.

If you decide to move forward with this deal please email me back with your details (full name and shipping address) so I can file a case at SquareTrade Center and they will contact you with more details and instructions. I am waiting for your email as soon as possible so we can move forward with this deal.

SCAM!!

Don't go near that one, that's the latest scam out there.

My dad was trying to sell his CLK430 on EBAY and some guy said that he had a $55,000 cashiers check (the car is for sale for around $50,000) he had some reason involving his wife (a pattern) that he couldn't get rid of the check so he wanted us to take his check then write him a personal check for over $5,000. We check one of those scam report webites sure enough a simlar story was on there. We reported him to EBAY. I think his story involved South Africa, so watch out for that.
