Gurus pls help, power loss uphill

Hi,

I have a 1992 V6 Camry, it has eveything good. The only problem I have is while going uphill it becomes too slow, slower than than then the 4 Cyl. cars(mine is 6 cyl.), even when I press the gas pedal really hard it doesn't run normal. I asked my mechanic to find out the reason for the lose of power while going up hill but he couldn't figure out, the car has new spark plugs, new AT fluid, timing belt components, fuel filter, got the injector cleaning service done recently......

Guru's pls give me your suggestion.

From the list of replaced parts I suggest starting by checking the ignition timing, followed immediately by the cam timing. (If the ignition timing is off, the cam timing is off, unless they unbolted the distributor & changed it)
They more than likely missed the cam / timing belt timing by a couple of teeth. 1 tooth you can't tell, 2-3 teeth the car still runs "acceptably", but the powerband changes. After that, and it will run increasingly poorly.

Just some advice, from now on, don't do "injector cleaning surfaces". They're just pouring in a gas additive. Trust me... Mechanics don't have the equipment required to flow test them, rebuild them, flow test them again.

Thanks for the reply, I think the injectors were really dirty so thats why I got this service done, it made some improvement in the engine idle.

You know I had this lack of power problem even before I got the timing belt service done on my camry so I am not sure if that would caused any problem....
