Check out my recent video capture(my M looks just like that one!). The camaro can hardly keep up! There are many mistakes in it, can you spot them? Laters. Have fun! :smoker2:

The E30 had 190HP and no way the camaro has 350hp with only a chip. Back to the E30, it could be an E36 3.0 or 3.2 I6 swap which gave it the 240HP they said, but I dont believe anything that show says, they always the make the bad guy look like a criminal :buck

That is one kick a$$ video :D The beemer is a beast and man could it brake. Good driver too though how do they know it was a 15yo if they supposedly never caught it?
Now I really want a beemer :sun:

They caught it at the end of the video. Said it broke down :bandit: oh well. Damn that kid sure was moving around like he'd done it before.

I'm not sure if anyone is reading this any more, but they showed that same video on another show and they said that the kid DID get away and was only caught while returning the car from where he took it... his father.

Also I almost fogot, It was an E30 M3, stock, and that cop was a pussy for stuffing it when the kid moved his shoulders. Camaros suck. LT1 my ass. Did ya see the brakes on that M3? Every get away car should be one.

oh my god...that 15 year old can move. And why the propoganda?
i am now convinced that this e30 is fast...not like the LT1 is anything special...but they said that kid was doing 150...then hit the brakes!!!
and if you listen closley in the very beggining it has the sound of the popo going through three gears...and it keeps on playing that specific sequence. you can really notice it when the kid evades the spike strips...listen to the popo.
camaro=:o

Actually, I read a piece in CAR magazine a few years ago where they interviewed (without identifying) a former get-away driver. Aside from the many interesting things that came out in the interview he persisted that the best getaway car is indeed a BMW M car. Not an E30 M3, but E34 M5, which blended into traffic thanks to its conspicuous looks, was solidly built so it wouldnt fall apart, and above all, quick as hell :D

if you actually look closely at that video the scene where the M3 "breaks down" is the same scene where it brakes hard and cuts across the median. that show just isnt willing to say that the cops dont always get the badguys.

Does it seem that the officer was almost bragging about his "chipped" LT1 Camaro having 350 hp? :rolleyes:
Interesting thing that here is a 15 year old that can't legally drive, outdrive a highly trained police officer. As far as I'm concerned, that officer should be ashamed of himself. I know I would be.
Pretty obvious that the BMW, even an older model can outhandle a late model, high horsepower domestic sportscar. Hate to see what would have happened to that officer if he tried that stunt with an experienced driver behind the wheel of a late model M3 or M5! :greenchai

That is why I hate those lame "cop chase" shows. Cops allways win. "Don't do it youself, drive like a looser, cops allways win" and so on. Why the hell won't they show a real getaway video where the badguy wins?! Why do I allways keep my figers crossed for the bad guys not the cops :P

A 1950's BMW will outhandle a Camaro. It has to be the worst excuse for a sports car when it comes to handling, and well pretty much everything except for straight line speed.
About the cop, bear in mind that although he has to chase the guy at high speeds, he has to drive responsibly and is in serious sh*t if anything bad happens to a civilian of his doing. He might not have been the greatest driver in the world, but he has to be very conservative in the way he chases the fleeing desperado
