Well i won the bid on ebay for the transmission. 45k miles on a 4g63T FWD transmission. Description said 'guarenteed no grinds, mint condition'. Hopefully it is :) Oh and it comes with a new t/o bearing. Anyway, since i already have my old tranny out, i decided to take the flywheel off. It's actually in excellent condition. Cleaned it off real well. The damn thing was so dirty. Went to mitsu, got new bolts. Speaking of the new bolts...First off, they could ONLY order me a package of 10. Not 7. I don't know why. Second, the bolts were $4.xx EACH! Luckily they gave me a damn good discount since i'm a regular there. Got all 10 bolts for $27 and some change. Which is still a bit pricey for bolts. Anyway i put the flywheel back on tonight. Took the new bolts, put some medium blue locktite on the threads, finger tightened each one on the flywheel, then worked in a criss-cross pattern torquing them to 90ft lbs each. Had a friend on the other end of the crank with a ratchet on the pulley so the crank wouldn't turn. :)
Ok, anyway...I was wondering. I'd like to replace my clutch since everything is already out. My current clutch disc has almost no pad left. My old Centerforce disc has plenty of pad left, but is blue/purple. My current pressure plate is good. I was wondering if i could mix my current PP with my old centerforce disc. I'm a little tight on money right now, or else i'd get an ACT 2100. And i want my car rolling ASAP. Any input on this? I'd also like to get steel braided clutch line. Any reviews on this? Does it make the pedal feel any different?
Thanks for any help.
Steve

Ok, update yet again. I got everything back in! I didn't feel like waiting for 2 weeks to get an ACT, so i went and got another Centerforce Dual Friction from Summit. This time i put it in with an OEM t/o bearing because the Centerforce ones suck. Got the tranny in. This job gets easier and easier every time i do it lol. Got everything back together. Even fixed my exhaust manifold crack with ThermoSteel. Cleaned up a lot of stuff too. Started her up and she ran like a dream. Not a single problem. No grinds, harsh shifts or anything. Clutch grabs awesome, no slipping or chattering. I'm still giving it a break-in perod, though. At least 600miles. My only concern about everything...Sometimes when i downshift at a low speed (say 35mph, from 4th to 3rd) there's a very, very minor vibration when the clutch engages. My g/f and 2 other friends don't even know what i'm talking about cause they can't feel it, but i can. I can't remember if my old CF did this or not cause it's been so long. I probably should have gotten my flywheel resurfaced, but i had to make an appointment cause the place was so busy and they wanted almost $70. My flywheel was in excellent shape, though. No cracks, scores or coloring from heat. I just cleaned the hell out of it. Any idea what this minor vibration could be?
Thanks for any help.
