firebird is a little more luxury too... but really just pick whatever you you liek better. What are the options on each?

Rally Sport

Yup, both same car, same motor, just depends on what body style you prefer.

No, they both are the same, no one is more luxiourious than the other, its just the body style that you like. I think that Firebirds are more of a grl car than a guys because its more stylish, BUT im not saying anything here, it's just what I think of it.

Savage Messiah

m taking back the whole body style thing for now... what oprions are on each one? ex. auto or manual, does it have the RPO code y87?

they already told you plenty of times, personally the exterior on the maro kills the firebird unless you decide for the ram air option.

WS6 > all.

Uh.. incase you didnt know. WS.6 = SS, and I personally think Camaros are more aerodynamic than Firebirds, but I havent seen any graphs or numbers that show this, but by the way they look. Also Camaros are a little lighter than Firebirds by like 5 pounds.

No, pontiac is more luxury than chevrolet and the firebirds reflect that over the camaros

As for aerodynamics, each have argued it but if one is over the other do you think its by a figure that would matter that much as to cause one to smoke the other?. They are the same exact cars. Everything on these cars is the same but a few body panels and a few interior pieces like has been stated a million times so far. Pick what you like and buy it, neither is better or worse than the other. Good luck in your search

Ah.. shaddup. You're just representing what Fbody you got. The Formula, well I know I represented what style I got thats why I told him to get code number Z22

well in real life the ws6 was rated a bit faster than the ss i dont remember why but i know i have it in one of my gm hightech mag's, ill have to find it. but if they are both v6 cars im sure they are the same. but now and days no matter what model u get they all have some years on them so they arent running what they use to so get the car u think is in better shape and seems to be taken care of

Rally Sport
08-15-2005, 05:16 PM
^Exactly WS.6s were said to have higher HP than SS but they're exactly the same.

Any stock LS1 car can beat another on the right day.

philly rs
08-15-2005, 06:01 PM
and that is the honest to god truth.... some ls1 cars are freaks from the factory... what i use to say all the time.....its the day your car was made! some days were just good days, others were days people didnt feel like being at work and some things were done a bit differently that day that made those cars a bit slower.

and thats how it is in real life. yes its a line where alot of things are done by computers, but people put the parts together by hand on some parts of that line. one day the guy doing your heads could have had a 3 some with 2 hot chicks so he had a champion type day at work, and the next day u get the guy who's wife just told him shes cheating on him..what kind of work u think u will be getting from that guy on that day?? sure wont be the 3 some dudes type work ill tell u that! thats just why some cars come out as freaks, and others come out as dud's

Savage Messiah

But Philly thats how the Ls2 is for the Vette. HANDBUILT! Thats awesome.

I myself am a Camaro guy. I briefly owned an older model Formula and it was one of those freaks from the factory. It was a stock-as-hell HP305 that was just unreal. It blew away almost everything that pulled up next to me. If you go Pontiac, my vote would be for a WS-6. All the others look cheaply built to me. Something about the design just doesn't jive. I currently drive a '94 LT-1 Z-28 which I love the looks and performance of. I also kinda like the idea that it was one of the last years for the old style small blocks.
Unless you park on the street, be aware of those ground effects. I don't even have them and I drag that dang ABS plastic air dam thing on just about every driveway I pull into. All you can do is cringe when it happens, because if you hit the brakes you'll send the nose down even harder. I can just imagine pulling too close to a parking curb and breaking that $1,000 piece of plastic to bits.

Have fun with whatever you decide.

Rally Sport

^ About that, whenever you pull into a driveway or something of a dip, turn your tires in any which direction, so your tires go first and not the front of the car, believe me it works.

u wanna talk about low, ill have to get a side pic of my car...its nuts, parked next to my friends vett they sit about even, now thats sick...even funnier will be when i put those long tune headers on her...im hoping the car will do ok when it comes to driving over speed bumps and stuff

Rally Sport
08-17-2005, 08:23 PM
Eh.. you got the body kit on yours Philly, I thought MY car was low though, if yours sits next to a Vette even.. damn.

hvypdl
08-17-2005, 10:05 PM
My '78 Camaro is pretty low. I can't clear a pop can on it's side if that is any indication. I had to have the collector flanges cut off and welded solid because I kept dragging up sewer lids. Just got sick of replacing gaskets and cussing at the city road works.
I am not the low-rider type, more of the hot rodder type so I put air shocks in the back to give it a little bit of a rake. Not backhills redneck Dodge rake, but more gentle. I thought it looked cool anyway.
Actually I was speaking from experience. I cracked the plastic on the nose parking too close to a tall curb. Man I was mad. As for approaching at an angle - that is something I learned a long time ago. Every once in a while though, I forget and think I am driving my truck and come into one head on in my '94 Z-28. I hate that sound. Everybody always looks up cringes and shakes their head like I just crunched some gears or something.

yea, putting a body kit on after your shit is as low as a vette would be stupid since it would be draging the ground, wont even have to worry about cracking it if you hit a bump to hard becasue it will prob just rip right off the car.
