Finally got to the track

Unfortuantely it was freakin HOT, the high was 97 and all my racing was between 11-12 and 1-2. Also was humid, its raining now actually.

Anyway, best ET was [email protected]... I will edit this lter with I go thru all my timeslips (got 12 runs in :evillol: ) and put up my best r/t, 60', and MPH, but uh... yea haha. This was also with a passenger seat, full tank of gas, my amp in the back, and the spare and jack in, and a bunch of tools and crap in the car. Can't wait to get back to the track when conditions are better...

Thats pretty good et but I would have thought your MPH would be a little higher (although it was damn hot today and hotter more humid air doesn't make as much power), still impressive with all that added weight though.

I used to drive like that all the time, I had like my freaking tool bag which weighed about 100 pounds in the back so it was like having another person, that and my amp/speakers too. 12 runs though, thats alot :lol:

I was talking with the guy who tuned me and we agreed with better air my MPH should at least be 89-90 and my ETs a lot lower with that and less weight... hopefully can get out to the track in october or something to really see.

thats a solution? i cant believe they let you race with a car like that, they didnt say anything at all about the hood?

the hood latches and is secure at 100+ mph on the highway, so it is fine at my 86-87mph trap speed. they yanked on it and it didnt come loose, but put the tape on as a precaution so block air from coming up under my hood.

Track here is NHRA and you don't need a helmet until you run 13.99 or faster.

Guess i won't be weaing a helmet anytime soon, but once i get the stroker kit.... whenever that is..

don't you have to wear a helmet while drag racing even if u don't i know i sure do when i got drag racing at the track just incase something did happen

OK I found out that it's NJ state law that you have to wear a helmet when racing no matter what, but I also heard it's NHRA required or 15.00 or faster

Eh as long as nothing happens. Its all good.

But you are right on the 13.99 requiring a helmet.

I wanna get kicked off a track in April for no cage. That is my goal. They better give me my slip though.
