spark plugh gap

i got some bosch platinum and i would like to know what the gap is. i went on ngk.com and it says its.032 and i just wanted to know if that correct. oh yeah i have a 96 taco 2.4.

4418 PLATINUM+4 2RZ-FE; Do not Gap

I suggest you use the factory-recommended NGK or Denso plugs and not Bosch. I have heard the resistance of the Bosch plugs is different than that of the NGK or Denso plugs and may cause problems with your ignition.

Use the factory wires.

well i just took off my spark plugs and the the gaps range from .036 to .045 and i put the new plugs at .032. would this improve anything cause i did feel a difference.

New plugs always help somewhat. There is no harm in carefully installing good plugs.

brain i was wonderin if you change your wires you get more horsepower is that true or no?

Only if the original set is malfunctioning. You can loose hp by installing junk.

As I mentioned above, I have heard that some brands of spark plugs have different resistances than that of the OEM plugs. This may cause problems with the ignition system. The same would hold true for the wires. Also, some brands of wires would be much more prone to breakage and have defects just from installation.

oh really. i didnt know that. cause i thought if i bought some new wires i could sqeez a little more power from the engine.

If you're missing on one or more cylinders, then check the wires and replace them as needed. If you aren't missing, don't bother.
