separate thread for the new HU

Aside from the question, I just got to say that this HU is REALLY nice. If it plays as good as it looks and as good as its specs and appearances show, then I'll be oh so very happy. Let me tell you, when I saw the faceplate come oh so smoothly sliding down to reveal the CD input slot, I coulda died. It was perfect. Its like this HU was made for my car. I can't wait to get it up and running. I think I would keep it even if it didn't play mp3s well at all. Its just so slick. And the remote is awesome too. Everything about the unit is just slick. I wish that bozo hadn't messed up my wires so I could do it myself. And I read that the thing has anti-shock. I didn't know it had anti-shock!! This thing is like, bling-bling. I hope I don't get broke into for it. It has a removeable faceplate though, so if they steal it they are stupid. They will be getting nothing. I don't keep anything valuable in my car, I take it all out when I get out of the car.

The unit is the Jensen MP5010K CD/MP3 reciever. Buy it. Its awesome.

im so #$%& confused, i here bad things aobut jensen sound qual. and that it over heats, but sparq says its a grea thu, bllaaaa

Its all about who you talk to and what experiences they've had from each brand. My Aiwa HU worked EXCELLENT (until it got jacked :mad: ) and the whole reason darkwing got the jensen one was because his Aiwa wouldn't work. I'm sure a lot of people like sparq would say JL audio is crap. Others think its the best thing since sliced bread. You just gotta weigh everybody's opinion to see whats best or try it and see.

That doesnt make it cool... there is no use for an amp thats stable @ 1 ohm if it only puts out 250 watts RMS -- The XA2250 would be a much better choice :finger:

maybe no use for you but there's a use for me:flipa: i'll gladly hook up 4 8" pioneers to it. each will be receiving 62.5watts RMS. muahahaha. u see? oh yea...some magazine tested it and it came out underrated, so it's over 250watts RMS biznat:finger:

u said there was no use. i just proved that there was a use for the KA5 amp. u just think the XA amp is better.

Again, theres no use for it... it serves no specific need -- if for example Jensen decided to put out a 16 ohm subwoofer that ran at 200 rms and the amp made 200 watts rms @ 16 ohms -- then the amp serves a purpose :flipa:

who said? no one said you have to use a 1ohm sub for it. it's just stable down to 1ohm for fexibility. for instance, i can use my lightning audio sub and run 4ohm to that amp. i believe it gives out 100 watts or something..again.. there a use for it:finger:

oh yea..the jensen KS212 is rated 200 watts RMS. it's a dual 4ohm coil sub. if wired in parallel, the amp will see a 2ohm load. and guess how many watts the amp puts out at 2ohm? 200 watts maybe?:rolleyes:
