Well my friend just gave me his old rx-7, It has no motor in it and needs some body work done. It is a 1989 Black 5-speed, and im looking to make this car my weekend racer.

I have a couple questions sence im new to rx-7, if i was going to turbo it and want to get the most power out of it, what motor should i go with.

Umm, a 13BT.

S5 housings and irons, S4 rotors, upgraded turbo, TMIC, V-Mount setup, full stand alone, full remote resivoir colovers, seem welded fram, full roll cage, gutted, racing fuel cell, ect ect.

Sounds to me like you need to read ALOT into these cars. As for the weekend racer thing, well thats probably true. As duering the week you will be fixing all the junk that breaks :P

If you near Vancouver let me know i can help you out with alot of stuff.

s4 rotors are heavier, and s5 turbo rotors are by far easier to find since they're the same used in FD

13b-re are also a good alternative

If you need to ask what the difference is between a 13B and a 20B, don't even bother thinking of a 20B.

A 13B-RE swap into an FC is not worth the hassle either.

The reson i say use S4 rotors is that take ALOT more abuse than the S5/FD rotors. I often swap out S5 and FD rotors in place of a good set of S4, not to mention they are lower compression. Best stuff for a turbo setup that runs some good boost.
