DHL might, they are shipping a hood for me that exceeded ups size limit by like ten inches :(. If that doesn't work out talk to me at [email protected]. My body kit dealer could get you a good deal if dhl won't ship it. Good luck,

Sorry, I have a friend that could get my block rebuilt with aluminum. I was wondering if that would be worth the weight drop, or would it drop that much???

...impossible to "convert" an engine from iorn to aluminum, essenbtially youd have to prescisionly cut off the block...off...itself? whilst in the process not damaging the water jackets, not to mention you cant weld cast iorn and aluminum together (very well)
keep in mind aluminum blocks actually do BETTER when they are hotter... im not talking about 2000 degrees, i mean the temp there desiged to run at (around 1200 depending on the engine)....iorn blocks run smoother and better at colder temperatures
basically, whoever told you that is ful of shit...no celica motor even comes sleeved so it not like you can even change that

i think he means somewhat what I was talking about, swaping the block for newer (alluminum) and making the older stuff fit like the heads and what not.

I said rebuild, meaning using my current iron block as a mold and building an aluminum one. Or finding one close enough to use, which I'm sure wouldn't happen. So my friend and I would build it. Would it make a huge difference??? Because it will be a few grand at the least, would it be worth the cost???

in all honesty, if you could find an aftermarket stroker kit for the 5sfe id say go for it and use the 5sfe block, find a stroker kit to destroke the motor below 2.2 liters so it can revv higher, get forged rods and postons and it will be better than a 3sgte and have higher revving capabilities

I was thinkin bout doin that with my gt and fixing up my gt4 at the same time, and seein which one ends up being faster. I have already decided that the gt4 is my showcar. Also it will be my sponsor car. The GT i would love to turn into a track beater and make it really fast though. :)

where do you go to get a block created? I'd love to get a 3TGTE in alluminum

My friend knows a lotta people and he may be able to hook me up, or in another two years he will be able to do it, right now it looks like it'll be 3-4k or even more maybe. =(

Well i just bought a 3sgte engine and the whole engine was about 200 pounds w/out the tranny. so im guessing 150 lbs for the block. and i paid $500 to ship the whole engine from CA to MN
