Just read in another thread about a guys problems that are exactly the same as mine. His problem was:

Well...to make it as short as possible, the service engine soon light is on, and sometimes blinking. The car shudders when I accelerate and has lost a lot of power. The gas milage is down about 3 miles per gallon. It also has a rough idle. When I put fuel system cleaner in it gets a little better, but not much. Also, when I have the computer read, the error is a misfire in cylinder 5 and 6. I just had new plugs and wires put in about 10,000 miles ago. I also notice that the tachometer is a little jumpy when I am idling and the engine surges a lot.

Mine does the exact same thing. Someone said it could be a bad coil, to what coil are you refering to? Can anyone post a link on a replacement?

Alright man, your car can have ANY of these going wrong with it.

Need a new Igntion Control Module (ICM), Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), also you should of had replaced your filters when you changed the plugs and wires.

I am going to agree with Rally on this, I would put my money on it being a ICM, thats the only thing that works with both the tach and the coil firing. If it was your coil, most likely it would not effect your tach. What engine and year are we talking about here though.

In addition to the ICM and TPS change the Idle Air Control Sensor and that should fix the rough idle.

No it wouldnt, it isnt broken. If it needed to be replaced the car would die when its just sitting there. But it's just bouncing up and down crazy like means its the ICM.
