Possible Blown Head Gasket

My 1994 S-20 2.2 ltr 4 Cyl. has the tendency to run hot. I am always having to add coolant every 200 - 300 miles. There is what seems to be oil residue are the spark plugs. With the radiator cap off the coolant will be begin to rise and overflow out of the radiator. No signs of white smoke from the exhaust or no noticable bubbles in the radiator while running.
From browsing this forum it seems others have come to the conclusion that it is a blown head gasket.
My questions are:
1. Does it sound like a possible blown head gasket?
2. Is it difficult to replace the head gasket?

Poor Lad, your engine is prone to blowing head gaskets, and you should get the head examined since they are often cracked.
It's an easy job to do, you just need basic hand tools and a torque wrench.
Look before you remove any bolt since not much actually needs removing for that job.
You don't have to remove the intake manifold, water pump, timing cover, and you might not have to remove the exhaust manifold depending on how hard it is to unbolt from the exhaust pipe.
If the 2.5L is a direct bolt in it might be an option, since those motors are so reliable
