Hello everyone, I drive a 1970 Chevy Chevelle what i need is some info on some parts/labor for my car. Instead of going to the shop and being charged a bundle my girlfriend dad lives by this guy (is a licenses mechanic for 11 years) that works on old classics/muscle cars, and he has a few of his own in his back yard his working on. Basicly he told me he would give me a better deal in helping me fix and put in parts for me in my car then a shop would since he gets discounts on parts for being a mechanic. Basicly this is my list i need to get fix on my car, quotes on pricing and labor regulary for these is what i need to find out.

Heres the list of things i got from a family respected mechanic when he did a full check up on the car when i bought it, that i need to keep in mind thats wrong with it, or needs..etc.

1. Needs belts replaced.
2. Radiator Leaking (cracked) needs replacement for sure.
3. R. R. Control Arm Bushing Worn Out.
4. R. F. Sway Bar Unbolted.
5. Left Engine Bank Burning Oil (i cant figure out why?? anyone?)
6. R. R. Side Marker Light Inop.
7. Needs Wiper Blades.
8. No A/C
9. All ball joints, tie rods, idler arm & centerlink appear to be original. (just a heads up)
10. Gas Tank and Lines Rusty.
11. Body Rust Throughout.
12. Differential Yoke Seal Leaking. (have no clue what that is)
13.Grille & Front Bumper missing. (have them but car was in a accident replacing them when i find a place to buy them at)
14. Numerous Oil, Trans. & Fluid Leaks. (Fixed trans. leak)
15. Steering Gearbox seals Leaking.
16. Needs both U-joints - Especially Rear Joint (i can move it with my hand =( ouch.)

The car is what it is, a 36 year old car with all the problems associated with a car that old. I'm just in the process of restoring it since it is my all time fav-car, and i just need alittle help to push me in the right direction. Any ideas or suggestions of parts (performance also), and how much it would regularly cost to fix/replace/labor to get it taken care of so i can get a estimate how much i need to have to fix all of it.

First of all, that list you have there, tripple it. Once you get under it and take the radiator out, you will see the something else you need. Basically, don't intend on replacing your radiator for $300 unless you have $600 handy. Your request is way to broad when asking how much you will spend. Let me know and I will send you some links of places that have pretty good prices.
