radar

well I got pulled over last night for the first time, we were on our way home from the beach when my radar detector went nuts...i looked up and the cop was right beside me...he pulled behind me and on the lights went. when he came up to the car he did the usual license, registration, and after a little hesitation he asked for the radar detector. i swear i am the only person that could manage to get pulled over for a radar detector and not get a speeding ticket.

heres the catch though, ive been told that if the ticket or "fine" that i got is filled out incorrectly by the cop its voided, in my case he put the wrong time (he put am instead of pm) which is a stupid reason but its a reason...but its not worth the 5 hour drive to the court house to get out of it...just though i would share my adventure of the weekend...

Glad you didn't get the ticket. So he confiscated your radar detector? Hope it wasn't an expensive one.

actually he gave it back to me...which was really good because i had borrowed it from a friend because i didnt get mine yet...so on top of the fine i would have owed him 400 some dollars for the detector

so when the cop walked up to the car you still had the radar detector in the windshield or still in plain view?

if not, then the cop had a VG2 detection on which detects whether or not someone has a radar. Passport Escort 8500 has a feature that detects if the cop is detecting the radar...not sure what good it would do, though, since the cop would already know you had a detector. guess you could hide it and deny to your death that you don't have one....haha give that a try. can you say "search the car?"

no...i ripped that thing off the windshied and had it under my seat so freaking quick...i think he either had that thing that can tell if somebody has radar becasue it said something ive never heard it do/saw before or that he just saw it when he pulled past me
