one of the wires on my streetglow kit split, it looks like there is 3 small wires inside the black rubber ,red white and blue, is it possible to fix this, can i strip them and reconnect with electrical tape? sorry im not very good with explaining electrical work. any help is greatly aprreciated

ya the same thing happened to mine...just reconnect the wires and electrical tape them up. heat up the tape with a lighter so it melts on and you're set

that happens often. They sell a mesh type of cover that you can slip over your wires. it has metal strands in the protective cover. I slid it on mine. It protects the wires from stones and stuf flike that. however in teh case of driving over a bump or something they still hit and can damage the wires. but it's all replaceable.

Well i think it should be pretty easy, im prolly doing it tonite or tomrow whenever i can get it on a lift. thanks for your help

well i finnaly got around to fixing my street glow tonite, it turned out there where 6 lil wires not 3. well i stripped each one, braided them together one at a time and electrical taped them, turned out good. i also sprayed brake cleaner on the tubes and it worked really well for cleaning them and getting the soot and dirt off

I would suggest soldering them and using shrink tubing to have the best seal. That way you don't have to worry about the tape coming off and wires exposed again...

I still have to rust coat the bottom of my car where I drilled the holes through for my mounts.. Don't forget to do that!
