94 Gl 3.8

Hello, I am hoping for some help. My Taurus was fine, then it made a strange engine noisefor a couple of seconds, was fine the rest of the way home. couple of hours later I started it and turned the AC on, it immediatly shut down. Now it will start, but as soon as the fan is turned on it dies. Haven't tried to take it any where since. I'm thinking its the brain(sorry don't know the proper name).

This has been a very dependable car for the 4 years we have had it. we redid the heads, and general maintance. it has over 200K miles.
