here's a blury pic of my chevy progress. It's made by AMt and has the paint with it ...ooohhh ahhhh. I put the front end on top of the leaf springs to lower it and did he same with the rear. the body has also been channeled on to the frame to make it sit lower. I have the inline 6 built and painted but I am going to find a v-8 for it. The wheels are off of a different model, i believe they are called "Rat Rods" at K-mart. It came with these wheels and another set...so why not use em.

progress may be slow on this one cuase i just moved and sandpaper is not in the budget:Shttp://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/166371S30101901-med.jpg
here's that inline 6......very blury pic but you get the idea. I might put it in there but i really want to get a v-8 and build a turbo or 2 for it...but then i also dont want to buy another kit and use just the motor...hmmmm the delima

PROGRESS PICS
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/166371S301019311-med.jpg
here is where i trimmed the back of the cab down to channel it down on the frame
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/166371S301019711-med.jpg
this is the bottom of the bed . I cut out a space on both sides of the bed to allow for the shocks to clear. you can see on the top of the pic my beautiful dremel work :S
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/166371S30101981-med.jpg
heres a little different view. you can see that i moved the bed floor up so i could move the bed farther down. along with all this done to the bed i have filed the square bed mounts on the frame down so that the bed rests on the frame where those lines intersect.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/166371S30101991-med.jpg
now you can see how shallow my bed is gonna be. those grooves on the outside is where the floor slid into(they line up with the groove on the inside)
what do ya think??

very cool that thing is gonna be slammed in the weeds. So are you gonna paint it like a "RAT ROD" or you gonna do a fine custom paint job on it?

im goin for a nice NICE glossy black. If i could find some bigger wheels that i could paint the wheel black and keep the lip chrome that would be awesome!
oh yeah and no running boards either!

well i cant get my pictures to show up in the gallery so no pics for right now. verbal update!
-i shaved both handles, body line down the hood, and wipers.
-sanded, primed painted and i think it was too humid(it fogged up at first then pitted and ran) so i need to sand it back down and re-do it :(
thats about it but its still progress
