Ok, being still rather young and still not having a car yet, there is one to come very soon, and I really have my eyes set on a 1986-1991 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL or 420SEL or SEC. That is if all my other options fail but I won't get into that right now. I've always loved this car, it's big, and when modified propperly, it looks downright sexy. I'm not going to mod this into one of them ricers, I'm going to keep this car as original as possible (anything performance tuned I will try and get from AMG, or Brabus). If I do plan body work, then I will get really subtle underbody spoilers to make it look like the car had the option of an AMG sport package, or almost make the car like a subtle Japanese VIP car, and maybe a lip spoiler, but for now, I'm just concentrating on rims because with or without the body work, this car still looks sexy with the proper rims, but I am torn between three of them. The car I want will hopefully be black, but TireRack.com only had it in tan, and I will obviously buy these rims somewhere else because I have found a bunch of online stores that are like a billion times cheaper than TireRack.

Rim option #1: AMG Aero II Monoblocks, 18 inch. I hope to possibly get these staggered, or with a wider lip in the rear than in the front (sexy!). I have seen these on an SEC and they are really nice, I don't want them chrome, just brushed metal
(Here's an SEC with them)

Rim option #2: AMG 5-spoke 129s, 18 inch as well, and they can be staggered as well. These are found on the R129 Mercedes SL, when the Sport Package option is on the car, these rims I hope to get either brushed or chrome.
Rim Option #3: these are ASA Type 8s, 16 inch. I have seen this car with those rims, and the car also looks great, and those I would get just strictly chrome. These can be found on the W140 Mercedes S-Class, I'd say pre-1995, and the W124 Mercedes E320.
I would really love all of your opnions

I'd go with the AMG 5-spoke, they just seem to fit the best. The mono-blocks look a little "fat" on the car in my opinion and the ASA rims are kinda boring.
Good choice on cars too. The 126 chassis can be very reliable, a lot of the techs at my shop have them. One with over 350,000 miles!! Just make sure the vehicle has been taken car of and maintained properly. They can also be VERY expensive to fix. And by VERY expensive I mean it's not uncommon for a tech to write a $7500-10,000 repair estimate for one that's been abused and neglected.

The SEC is gonna be hard to find in good shape. The SEL is timeless, not SE, or SD. You really can't brush those AMG monoblocks. The monoblock is a great wheel. Just leave them silver. Check and make sure they are real AMG, not knock offs or used.

I've seen some SECs in great shape up here in the tri-state area, but of course they run more expensive than the SELs. I also meant that all I want is that color, silver, i thought it was like a brushed metal type thing. But anyways, I didn't know there were knockoff rims lol, I knew there were knockoff watches and apparel in Chinatown NYC but not rims, thanks for the heads up!

Get the monoblocks! They go best with the VIP look you said you kind of wanted the car to resemble.

On second thought, I dont think I like the 129s, because they were different than the ones I am thinking, here's what they look like:

Sorry to bring back my old thread, but if I got the monoblocks or any of the rims I opted, would I have to get wheel spacers or anything additional to the rims and tires?

If they're Mercedes wheels bolted to a Mercedes then most likely not. Unless, of course, they are dramatically bigger.
