Oil change

I am going to change my oil for the first time on my 2000 328i. The dealer has done it in the past. I have changed oil my other cars for years. I plan on buying my filter and oil at the dealership, I understand it holds 7 quarts. My question is, is there anything special I should know about this before I start. :cool:
