Lets see who has it the worse...
for premium gas in texas im payinga record high of $2.78 a gallon.
why didnt bush just take the oil and keep it for him self insted of giveing it back... i mean comon this is isane... or we could just open all our oil caps back up from alaska and start drilling in the gulf of mexico... its said most of the worlds oil is in the gulf of mexico. BUT NO it will kill off the dolphins, and for alaska NO IT WILL KILL THE POLAR BEARS. screw you PETA its because of them we dont have our own oil... and its because bush is too nice and wont take the oil from the poeple who want to kill us.

I'm definantly not gonna get into the politics of this...as that can only lead to disaster. So lets keep our thoughts on Bush reserved for the OT political sub-forum.
But yeah, I think our premium is around 2.65-2.70ish maybe higher depending where you go. (the only advantage to not having a running car!)

you can always go convert your truck to use propane gas... its cheap as hell and you can have your own big tank at your house so you wont have to go to a stupid gas station to refill... my neighbors truck runs off propane. plus i hear it burns so pure thta you can put like 400,000 miles on any automobil.

and to be honest the guys who have vr4s and puting the 85 or 87 octane in their car, are wasteing their money... the reason they say PREMIUM UNLEADED GAS ONLY on your cluster is because thats what to car needs to reach high rpms with out drinking alot of gas... the lower octane gases will burn up alot faster just trying to go than the high octane. you would have better gas milage puting 93 octane in your car and romp all over it then 87 octane and drive it normal. and if you want to put it to the test try this.
1. wait till you get on empty.
2. go fill up your tank with whatever octane you want.
3. reset milage gage.
4. drive around until you want to refil.
5. the fill up gas record how many gallons you put in.
6. then devide the miles by gallons and see how many miles to a gallon you are geting.

i pay 2.89 for a gallon, i fill up, pay close to $50, then the next day its at 2.79. so im like, "damn, well at least it will be cheaper next time i fill up", then i go back in a couple days to fill up again, and its at 2.99!!!! I could put a lot more money into my car if gas wasnt so damn much!!!

The reason for premium has nothing to do with gas milage.........
And the part I bolded is just retarded.

premium fuel reduces pre-ignition and detonation (pinging) in your engine. If you use regular gas, performance would suffer and could cause engine damage.

Ive got a few fun facts for you guys...Check out the fuel prices (http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/gasprices/states/index.shtml)
ohh and the gas prices in my country is about 7.26$
and im going to clear up a few things, a US galon is 3.78 Litres. and the imperial galon is 4.54 litres. so jeremy clarkson sais 8-9$ a galon but thats not your standard as the gasprices in england are simmilar to the ones in iceland so he realy means more like around 7.
the funny thing in iceland thoug is that the diesel fuel is actualy more expensive than gasoline and i saw a guy filling a ford pickup at the gas station today and it cost him 206$ to fill it up. so until you guys are paying a substatial ammount of your salery on gas you shuld consider yourselves lucky

You are wasting your money. Just buy 93 octane. Those "boosters" only raise the octane by .2 at most. Individual tests have shown the only one that actually works is the NOS brand octnae booster.

3.50 for premium on Thursday, havn't really checked since then. Luckily a bunch of gas stations in the area just got busted for price gouging. Apparently, it is illegal to post one price in the morning, and then raise it mid-day. Almost every station around here does, and I'm sure most nation-wide do...but a few finally got busted in the area, so hopefully that will keep them in check for awhile.

na, i'm in TX, and the prices shot up about 30 cents a few days ago b/c of Hurrican Katrina. the hurricane caused most, if not close to all, the oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico to be ceased and evacuated for a period of time.
